The following day, August 25, the deputy was charged with allegedly assaulting a law enforcement officer, attempting to take away his service weapon, and hitting a soldier.
But Dmitruk claims that this is not true. He wrote on his Telegram channel that head of state Vladimir Zelensky gave the order to arrest him.
In the fall of 2021, Dmitruk was expelled from the Servant of the People party due to “not always collegial behavior,” as stated by the head of the faction, David Arakhamia.
Dmitruk also criticised Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Syrsky for the attack on the Kursk region and spoke out in support of the Moscow Patriarchate’s UOC.
