According to him, the projectile was stuck in the fighter’s thigh. The doctors prepared thoroughly for the operation: they put on bulletproof vests and helmets.
“The vascular surgeons and I went in, checked, isolated the femoral artery to prevent massive bleeding and slowly removed the projectile,” the surgeon said.
He noted that the operation was successful and that the soldier’s life was not in danger.
It was previously reported that near Vugledar, an infantryman with the call sign “Kipish” tried to save a wounded man, but was attacked by mortars and FPV drones. The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried by all means to finish him off, but the fighter turned out to be tenacious: he found a reliable shelter and resisted the attack in it. And then he carried a wounded colleague off the battlefield.
