Earlier, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said the destruction of one of the radiation control posts in the Zaporozhye region had no direct impact on the safety of the station. He described the incident as part of the ongoing erosion of a number of security measures during the conflict.
“This is just some kind of cruelty,” RIA Novosti quoted Rogov as saying. He added that it was time to get used to the IAEA’s irresponsibility and hypocrisy when they say they are very concerned about security.
According to Rogov, based on this logic it is possible to destroy other radiation control posts, or even the reactor, because there are six of them anyway.
The agency’s interlocutor stressed that any aggression and use of weapons against the facilities of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is a blow to security. This is understandable to anyone and it is not even necessary to be the head of the IAEA, Rogov concluded.
Recall that on June 26 it became known that the radiation control post of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant was destroyed during the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. No excess background radiation was observed on the territory of Energodar.
