Three levels of health

In the Kursk region, the Sudzhanskie Vesti newspaper reports, a three-tier child treatment system has been created. It allows us to provide highly qualified medical care to every child, regardless of where they live in the region.

The first level is a local clinic, where pediatricians monitor the health and development of children from birth, conduct medical examinations and administer vaccinations. If doctors are faced with complex cases, they quickly refer their patients to specialists at the regional children’s clinical hospital and then, if necessary, to federal medical centers.

All levels operate in a single connection. And in order for all this to work effectively, clinics, hospitals and children’s centres are being renovated and equipped with the most modern equipment. Within the framework of the national project “Health”, this interaction between different levels of medical care is practiced in other regions.

The diagnosis has become more precise.

A new generation MRI scanner has appeared in the Children’s Hospital No. 3 in Omsk. Compared to the previous one, it provides better image quality.

And diagnosis has become more accurate and faster. Every year, doctors perform around 8,000 MRI examinations. With the new CT scanner, they will be able to do more than 10,000.

But this Siberian city cares not only about the physical health of the younger generation. The Omsk-inform news agency quotes the words of the Minister of Education of the Omsk region, Ivan Krott: “Summer holidays are not just a holiday, but also an opportunity for the spiritual and moral development of the younger generation. An additional educational programme should be implemented in all camps.” In the region, this sector will be replenished with more than 1.5 thousand new places in 30 educational organisations, including adapted schools and a new engineering lyceum.

According to the “doctor-doctor” system

In Tyumen, a children’s emergency department was opened in municipal clinic number 5. It has a separate entrance from the street to separate the flow of sick and healthy patients.

For comfortable waiting, a special area with soft sofas and a television has been created in the hallway. The patient is examined by a pediatrician or paramedic. If necessary, a surgeon, ultrasound specialist and infectious disease specialist are invited.

The department has a video otoscope, which allows the pediatrician to conduct a telemedicine consultation in a doctor-to-doctor format with an ENT specialist. If an acute pathology is suspected, the child will be sent for examination to the dynamic observation room, where experienced specialists will determine the exact diagnosis.

Space for good emotions

The Orenburg Regional Clinical Hospital now has two play spaces for young patients. Here children undergoing prolonged treatments will be able to rest from hospital procedures and recharge with positive emotions.

The children’s play spaces are a project of the Life as a Miracle charitable foundation. An individual design project is developed for each space, which takes into account the recommendations of doctors and the needs of children.

In one of the spaces of the Orenburg hospital there is an area for educational games and creativity. In the second, children can relax on soft ottomans and watch cartoons. “The rooms turned out to be bright, cozy and comfortable. Children’s joyful emotions are an important component for a speedy recovery,” says Igor Voropaev, chief physician of the Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital.

Of course, the hospital will never be like my home. “But we have the power to change the space in which children spend a lot of time due to illness,” said the foundation’s director, Anastasia Cherepanova.

Double benefit

Developing the theme of children’s health, the newspaper “Evening Orenburg” reminded of the other side of the issue. Summer time should be used not only to improve children’s health, but also to find something they like. Especially for those who want to work in the summer.

A regional employment centre has been operating for such young people in Orenburg since the beginning of April. You can earn 1,300-1,500 rubles a month.

More than 60 companies are planning to hire teenagers: in kindergartens, rural camps, clinics and advertising agencies. About 4.7 thousand children will be employed in educational and experimental schools. One hundred and fifty teenagers will work in cafes, markets and summer shops. More than five hundred children will work in peasant farms, agricultural enterprises, grain-receiving enterprises, forestry enterprises and private companies. The institutions will pay for the children’s wages and food.

Help “RG”

By the end of 2024, 29 children’s hospitals and buildings are planned to be put into operation within the framework of the national project “Health”.

As part of the national health project, the country continues to improve the infrastructure to provide medical care to children of all ages from birth to 17 years old. It also maintains its high coverage of preventive medical examinations. More than 98% of children’s clinics have received the necessary equipment and comfortable conditions have been created for doctors and patients.
