Rostelecom presented a video surveillance platform for the digitalization of Tuva – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

The main objective of the event, attended by representatives of the public and business sectors, was to create an environment for fruitful interaction between developers and consumers of IT products and thus ensure the technological development of the republic.

Rostelecom experts said that the introduction of a regional video surveillance platform will make it possible to collect and analyze visual data on the situation in the republic in real time, for example, in terms of landscaping, public safety, construction, roads and environmental conditions. The IT solution has extensive functionality and can be integrated with the Safe City hardware and software complex and System 112.

Nikita Zhiltsov, head of digital regions of the Siberian Federal District of Rostelecom:

Rostelecom’s video surveillance platform successfully operates in 23 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. It was observed that its implementation contributes to an annual reduction in the number of crimes between 10% and 20% and an increase in the detection rate of 40%. In total, throughout the country there are more than 500,000 cameras that record tens of thousands of violations in the transport sector, as well as in the field of housing, communal services and landscaping.
