The UFC Fight Night Vegas 96 tournament was held in Las Vegas, with the participation of Russian fighter Vyacheslav Borshchev. In the lightweight category, the 32-year-old Russian faced Peruvian James Llontop.
The fight was a bitter fight and lasted all three rounds. But the judges gave Borshchev the victory by split decision: 29-28, 30-27, 28-29. For the Russians, this victory was the eighth with four losses and one draw.
The main event of the tournament saw Brazilian Caio Borralo face American MMA veteran Jared Cannonier. The 40-year-old American put up a decent fight, but at the end of five rounds, all three judges gave the victory to the 32-year-old Brazilian fighter: 49-45, 49-45 and 48-46.
