The publication reports that Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov inspected the training of volunteers from the Bars-Kursk detachment.
“We are creating detachments of “Bars” in the three border regions (Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk),” he said.
According to him, the Bars-Kursk, Bars-Belgorod and Bars-Bryansk detachments will assist in anti-terrorist operations, including with weapons in hand. They will be responsible for evacuating the population, helping to extinguish fires, protecting important communications, fighting enemy UAVs and maintaining public order.
Earlier, the Deputy Minister of Defence visited Bryansk, where he also checked the progress of training of volunteers of the Bars-Bryansk unit.
A regime of anti-terrorist operations has been introduced in the Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions. This decision was a response to the invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into the border areas of the Kursk region.
According to the Ministry of Defense, since August 6, the enemy has lost more than 12.5 thousand soldiers in the Kursk direction.
On Thursday, the military department reported that the Russian Armed Forces liberated ten settlements during the two-day offensive in the Kursk region.
