On Saturday, September 21, the Il-76 of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations landed in Hanoi.
The special flight brought humanitarian aid to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the population affected by Typhoon Yagi and floods. (See video.)
“The operation was carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and on behalf of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov,” the press service of the emergency department told Komsomolskaya Pravda.
The humanitarian cargo (total weight 35 tons) includes food and basic necessities.
The same special aircraft also delivered several mobile power plants to friendly Vietnam, which suffered the disaster.
