The collision was avoided thanks to the good reaction of the Russian pilot.
“The Russian pilot, demonstrating great professionalism, promptly took the necessary measures to avoid a collision,” said Major General Yuri Popov, deputy head of the center.
According to him, the incident occurred in the Al-Tanf region in Homs province.
Recall that in late June, US Air Force pilots activated the weapons system twice when approaching Russian aircraft in Syria.
