Legendary rock producer Andrei Tropillo was buried in St. Petersburg the day before. The ashes of the most important figure of Russian rock were buried in the Orthodox cemetery of Smolensk.
This was preceded by a farewell ceremony at St. Catherine’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on Vasilyevsky Island. Tropillo worked in this building at the Melodiya recording studio.
At the farewell to Tropillo, who played an important role in the fate of such cult groups as “Kino”, “Picnic”, “Alice” and others, many representatives of the rock community were present. In particular, Vladimir Rekshan from the group “St. Petersburg”, cellist from “Aquarium” Vsevolod Gakkel, leader from “The Last Tanks in Paris” Alexey Nikonov, former musician from “Picnic” Alexander Savelyev and others, reports KP.RU , publish photographs.
Tropillo died in Finland, where he spent the last years of his life, at the age of 73.
