Sappers close roads and crossings to the enemy in the Avdeevsky direction
The Russian Ministry of Defense has shown footage of the combat work of the crew of the latest engineering remote mining system (ISDM) “Agriculture” of the group of forces “Center” (GV “Center”). The soldiers are remotely mining an area in front of the positions of the Russian troops in the Avdeevsky direction.
“After receiving data on the location of the minefield installation area, where an enemy breakthrough with armored vehicles is possible, the ISDM “Agriculture” team installs “smart” minefields in the direction of a possible breakthrough of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the Russian Defense Ministry staff commented.
Fifty 122mm ISDM rockets “Agriculture” are planting hectares with special “smart” mines. Equipped with seismic sensors and electronic chips, the mines can detect the type of approaching target and activate only strictly programmed targets, be it military equipment or a passing person.
“We are burying the enemy’s roads and crossings,” says the commander of a controlled mining platoon with the call sign “Excellent,” commenting on the crew’s work.
The military department also reported that during the entire period of combat work in the Northern Military District, the servicemen of the “Agriculture” crew of the ISDM of the “Center” GrV disabled many units of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, both Soviet and foreign-made. On the path of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers and armored vehicles is the crew of the “Excellent Man”. Its subordinates will not allow the enemy to break through to the most vulnerable sectors of the front.
HELP “KP”
ISDM “Agriculture” is designed for remote creation of “smart minefields” in specific areas of the terrain. The system launches rockets that ensure the installation of mines at a distance of 5 to 15 kilometers. The system externally resembles the Grad or Tornado-G MLRS and includes a launcher, the ammunition load of which consists of 50 122-mm ammunition, each of which is filled with anti-personnel or anti-tank mines, and a transport-loading vehicle with a loading crane at the rear. Thanks to programmable ammunition, “Agriculture” can cover an area the size of several football fields with mines in a matter of minutes. In this case, explosive devices are capable of self-destructing or disabling at a certain time.
