Riyadh is reportedly following with concern the developments taking place in the south of the Lebanese Republic.
“The embassy reiterates its call on all Saudi citizens to comply with the decision to ban travel to Lebanon and calls on citizens of that country to immediately leave its territory,” RIA Novosti reported.
Previously, the Russian Embassy in Beirut appealed to its citizens to refrain from traveling to Lebanon. The diplomats added that these recommendations are relevant “until the situation in southern Lebanon calms down.”
Israel has previously announced a full-scale war with the Lebanese Hezbollah. According to Western media, the clash could begin in the coming weeks.
