Artificial sweeteners aren’t safe either: Even drinking one serving of diet soda a day, for example, if done regularly, is associated with an increased risk of developing dementia. There are also risks to the cardiovascular system, the researchers noted.

And, of course, doctors urged to maintain a balance in the consumption of carbohydrate foods. It is impossible to completely give up carbohydrates, which are the main source of energy, but even in large quantities they trigger dangerous processes, including inflammation.

“The above-mentioned products are widely present in our diet, but consuming them in excessive quantities can accelerate ageing,” the experts stress once again.
