In the 1990s, the name of singer Julian thundered thanks to the lyrical hit “Russian Waltz”. The artist was called the favorite singer of the then Russian President Boris Yeltsin.
Julian has now retired from show business, but still performs sold-out concerts for his loyal fans.
This time the singer came to the House of Music on the occasion of Joseph Kobzon’s 87th birthday. Julian is a friend of Joseph Davydovich’s family, the maestro’s daughter Natalya has always sympathized with his work.
Backstage, reporters peppered the singer with questions about modern showbiz.
“I think that we need to pass a law now: stop paying millions to artists,” Yulian said in an interview with KP.RU. – I don’t know how to do this, I’m not a deputy, but I think that artists are people like everyone else. The stars are only in our sky.
– And in the times of SVO, in my opinion, there is no need to pay millions to artists. And, of course, artists should not go on stage dressed in just anything. But in general, all these millions, this whole world of show business, should be closed down,” Yulian told Komsomolskaya Pravda.
