Sistema Gallery has announced the project “Speed Dating. Trends in the art market in the works of young artists” – its aim will be to analyse the trends of the last decade in contemporary art. Precisely for this purpose, the gallery has identified ten trends in the Russian art market that are gaining popularity and are still in demand. The exhibition will be open from September 13 to October 9.

55 authors who were at the beginning of their creative careers were invited to participate in the project. The exhibition included more than 250 works, including paintings, graphics, objects, installations, photography, video, ceramics, glass, metal, and textiles.

On the eve of the exhibition, the director of the Sistema Gallery, Anastasia Volkova, noted: “One of the main goals of our gallery is to support the younger generation of Russian artists. The “Speed Dating” project opens the 2024-2025 exhibition season and provides an opportunity to get acquainted with a wide cross-section of new artists from our country, working in different genres and directions,” she concluded.

Let us remind you that on August 31, the Moscow School of Contemporary Art will hold the third annual Day of Contemporary Art festival at the Artplay Design Center. Key events include a lecture by artist and theorist Dmitry Gutov on the art of the future; a lecture by MSCA director Mikhail Levin on professions in the field of art and a discussion of journalists and bloggers on art in the media.
