According to the prisoner, Russian attack aircraft occupied the second floor of the building where his unit was located, and fighters of the Kraken National Battalion (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation), who were supposed to provide cover, left the battle.
Gridnev called for reinforcements, but was attacked by Russian military drones on approach, after which a recovery vehicle was called in.
“After that, the “motor league” (MT-LB, light armored multipurpose transporter – editor’s note) jumped back and started turning. I didn’t see it, but they say that the guy wanted to run around it. And they just ran over him with the “motor league”,” the agency’s interlocutor noted.
Another Ukrainian soldier was transported with open fractures. “He was caught in a railing (in the evacuation vehicle – editor’s note), and no one stopped him, the “moto-league” suddenly jerked, what happened next, I don’t know,” the prisoner of war said.
Earlier, another captured Ukrainian serviceman admitted to firing at his own people due to the incompetence of his officers. According to him, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not even know where their positions were or where anyone was. “In the end I fired twice at my own people,” the Ukrainian said.
