The ASh-12 12.7-mm caliber submachine gun, also known as the ShAK-12, (automatic assault complex) and the Vykhlop 12.7-mm large-caliber sniper rifle were developed by the KBP – TsKIB SOO branch and posts in service in 2011.
“Operational units highly appreciate the use of ASh-12 and VKS in combat operations. There were no comments on these samples of special forces units,” the holding said.
We add that the FSB of Russia acted as a customer of the ASh-12. The machine was built according to the bullpup scheme, in which the trigger was placed in front of the store. Its original purpose is to counter terrorists. Especially for the machine gun, a large-caliber 12.7 × 55 mm cartridge with several types of bullets was developed: armor-piercing with a protruding core, shells, double bullets with bullets placed in tandem. These ammunition have high stopping power, which makes it possible to fight effectively at short and ultra-short distances, even in confined spaces.
The ASh-12 machine gun will catch the enemy who is hiding behind walls, partitions or wearing a bulletproof vest. It is guaranteed to neutralize the enemy under psychotropic substances, insensitive to pain.
