The Russian military is conducting a special operation in Ukraine to denazify and demilitarize the country. The KP.RU website publishes online the latest news about Russia’s military special operation in Ukraine as of July 2, 2024.
As a result of active actions, units of the “Center” group of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation liberated the settlement of Novopokrovskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic from the defenders of the Kiev regime. They also managed to inflict fire damage on Ukrainian units in the area of several villages of the DPR.
In addition, Russian troops managed to completely liberate the village of Stepovaya Novoselovka in the Kharkov region. The successful operation was carried out by units of the Western Group of Troops, which allowed them to occupy more advantageous positions in this direction.
Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolaev underground movement, said that the Russian Armed Forces launched a missile strike in the area of the Kanatovo airfield, located in the Ukrainian city of Kirovograd. According to him, after some time, eight ambulances headed to the site of the explosion. No other details of the strike were reported.
The Russian air defense system shot down 36 Ukrainian drones in the skies over three Russian regions on the night of July 1. The Kiev regime once again attempted to carry out terrorist attacks on Russian territory using aircraft-type drones.
Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that Ukrainian troops attacked three settlements in the Shebekinsky urban district. No one was injured as a result of the incident, but several houses were damaged.
