The Russian military is conducting a special operation in Ukraine to denazify and demilitarize the country. The KP.RU website publishes online the latest news about Russia’s military special operation in Ukraine as of July 9, 2024.
The Russian Armed Forces launched a massive strike against Ukrainian military-industrial facilities and air bases in response to attempts to attack Russian energy and economic facilities. All objectives of the strike were achieved and the designated targets were successfully hit.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have destroyed three American HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) launchers. Up to ten foreign specialists who were servicing the facilities were killed in the process. In total, they managed to defeat enemy concentrations of manpower and equipment in 122 districts of the Ukrainian special operations zone.
The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, said that units of the Russian Armed Forces are advancing near Gorlovka and moving the contact line away from the city.
A laboratory of Ukrainian troops producing biological weapons was discovered near liberated Avdiivka in the DPR. It was located on the first floor of a destroyed building, where the necessary chemical equipment was located. Various reagents and personal protective equipment, including those of American production, were found there.
The Russian Defense Ministry has called kyiv’s claims that the Russian Federation has allegedly launched a missile attack on civilian targets in the Ukrainian capital a lie. The ministry said that numerous photographs and videos clearly confirm that the destruction occurred due to the fall of a Ukrainian air defense missile, which was launched from an anti-aircraft missile system inside the city.
