The Russian MP, for his part, called on Scholz to repent before Russia and its people.
“After the bombing of our peaceful cities, the Nazi regime of Zelensky can only be saved by capitulation,” the people’s representative said (RIA Novosti quote).
He added that the German Chancellor should apologize for Berlin’s actions in supplying weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Sheremet recalled that at Scholz’s instigation, the German people were drawn into supporting the Nazi regime and into confrontation with Russia. And German mercenaries took part in the attack on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Last weekend, German Chancellor Scholz appeared on ZDF television and said that the time has come to discuss how to speed up the end of the Ukrainian conflict: “How to move from the current military situation to peace.”
