According to him, the most significant achievement was the strengthening of NATO’s collective defence.
Stoltenberg has previously said that a Russian victory in the Ukrainian conflict is the “biggest threat” to the alliance.
In his opinion, the positions of Iran, North Korea and China will also be strengthened in this case, and the outcome of this conflict “will determine the global security system for decades to come.”
Following Stoltenberg’s resignation, former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte will become NATO Secretary General and Stoltenberg himself is expected to chair the Munich Security Conference.
