The scandals surrounding the Mirage group do not subside. As it turned out, some time ago the composer of the popular group, Andrei Lityagin, transferred his rights to several publishing houses in Russia. He himself has been living in Europe for a long time, like many immigrants, on funds received from Russia. Despite the transfer of rights, 61-year-old Lityagin periodically sues his former colleagues if Mirage songs are suddenly heard somewhere…
So, a year ago, Lityagin, through another publishing house to which he transferred the rights, filed a lawsuit against the Rossiya 1 TV channel, seeking to recover compensation from them for the performance of songs from Margarita Sukhankina’s Mirage. According to the singer herself, Andrei Lityagin was going to earn extra money in this way.

And the other day the decision of the court became known, which examined all the circumstances and concluded that Margarita Sukhankina performed the songs from “Mirage” legally, since earlier Lityagin transferred the rights to the National Music Publishing House LLC, and she, in turn, legally issued all the licenses. According to Sukhankina’s representatives, the composer disposed of the rights twice, although he had no right to do so.
“I would like to hope that this is the end of our dispute and that this whole story will come to its logical conclusion,” Valery Sokolov, co-founder of the group and author of Mirage hits, told KP.RU. – After all, all this has been going on for many years. And in general, I would like to remind everyone that the songs that were the subject of dispute were first performed by Rita Sukhankina, were written especially for her and became famous and are heard everywhere on radio and television in her performance.”
Margarita Sujakina is also glad that the truth has prevailed, because Lityagin, according to his representative, bombarded all TV channels with claims and tried to convince them that he alone had all the rights.
