According to him, they first ordered the release of the people who were in the basement of the factory.
“Then there was an order that we would not let anyone out… And people stayed in the basements with their children,” the agency’s interlocutor admitted.
He clarified that such an order came from the commander of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vladimir Baranyuk, who was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine in 2022.
Earlier, Taranyuk told how Baranyuk, at the height of the fighting at the Ilyich plant, left his soldiers and disappeared. He also called the decision to award the commander of the marine brigade the title of Hero of Ukraine unfair.
