On Wednesday, in the second leg of the RPL 1/2 final of the Russian Football Cup, CSKA hosted Samara Krylya Sovetov at their home stadium. The first match turned out to be bright and productive and ended in a draw – 2:2.
In the first half, the teams were not marked by effective actions, and the guests tried to play on equal terms against CSKA. In the second half, Samarans sometimes showed himself to be preferable to the opponent, he attacked more often and with more danger, but could not stand out.
And when the teams were already preparing for the penalty shootout in injury time, everything was decided by Glenn Bale’s own goal. CSKA will play Ural in the final of the RPL route, and Krylya Sovetov, together with Spartak, Akron and the winner of the Krasnodar – Rostov match, will fight to reach the final of the regions route.
