The OstroVa Forum has been held in the Sakhalin region since 2013. Since 2020, it has received the status of All-Russian, and now it is included in the line of the Rosmolodezh.Events platform. This year’s program included work on the tracks “Island of Digitization”, “Island of Patriotic Education”, “Career Island”, as well as a special direction “Island of the First”, developed with the support of the “Movement of the first”. Another novelty was “BOSH”, a huge educational tent, in which fascinating lectures and master classes were held daily. Not only “islanders”, but everyone could visit them. Admission to the tent was free. One of the 107 Bosch experts was the State Duma deputy, member of the labor and social policy committee Ekaterina Stenyakina. She discussed with the children the topic of preserving the memory of important historical events.
– I myself am from the city of Shakhty. My whole life is connected with this place, – admitted Ekaterina Stenyakina. -As a result of her work, she became a deputy of the State Duma. We also talk about this with the boys.
The week on “OstroVakh” was full of exciting events. Young talented artists from the Larisa Dolina Academy, as well as invited Russian pop stars – the singer SHAMAN and the group Uma2rman – performed at the dedicated opening and closing concerts. Every day the participants watched interesting movies as part of the street film festival. It opened with a screening of the film “The Challenge”, before the screening of which the guys were able to talk with the test cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov. Another star guest of the forum was the famous figure skater, choreographer and director of ice shows Ilya Averbukh. He shared his success story, talked about the most memorable rental.
– Beautiful children with the right and competent questions, – Ilya Averbukh admitted. – Looking at them, you understand that everything will be fine with us.
Traditionally, within the framework of the forum, a military-historical reconstruction was held in the Smirnykhovsky district. The organizers reenacted the assault on the Handas police station, which took place on August 11 and 12, 1945.
The participants also remembered those soldiers who are currently defending our country during a special military operation. To help the heroes, the guys weaved camouflage nets, they were taught this by the “silver volunteers”, who had already made seven nets in a year.
– Here it is important not to separate and not to make small distances. Otherwise, it will be very difficult,-volunteer Marina Drugova shares her experience.
But the scholarship contest became the main thing for many children. They brought with them special baggage in the form of interesting ideas that they would very much like to implement. Even on the first day, 26 papers in different areas were submitted to experts for a chance to win implementation grants. The names of the winners were announced during the closing ceremony of the forum.
The largest amount went to Vladislav Krylov from Moscow – 970 thousand rubles. With this money he is going to organize an opera festival “Population Census”. Sakhalin Natalya Martynenko received 700 thousand for the creation of the creative space “Art Veranda”.
– In Nevelsk in the summer it is not always possible to take a child. We will organize a platform where you can have an interesting time, – explains Natasha. – We will begin to implement the project next year, approximately in April.
Another local participant, Maxim Bogdanov, won 380 thousand, thanks to which he will be able to hold an e-sports tournament. And Vera Tambakova from the Kaluga region decided to make up for the lack of good seamstresses in the region with her. She received 600 thousand rubles for the creation of a sewing training center.
– I will not implement the project alone. I have a team, says Vera. – First of all, we will plan everything, make a project and proceed to the implementation.
There were 11 winners in total. The total amount of grants won is 5,512,000 rubles.
The head of the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Sakhalin Region, the Director of the OstroVa forum, Dmitry Smekalov, congratulated the winners, noting that the grant competition receives special attention every year.
“It is important for us that part of the projects are implemented in Sakhalin, and this year we have a participant from Moscow who received the grant and will implement it in our region,” said Dmitry Smekalov.
Even those who did not receive the money will take home a valuable prize: a baggage of vivid and incredible memories.
