According to the exercise scenario, the ship’s air defense teams detected a small, low-flying target. It was identified as a conventional enemy combat drone.
“The crew’s specialists, using electronic warfare equipment, escorted the unmanned aerial vehicle and neutralized it,” the press service of the Eastern Military District reported in a statement.
The department clarified that the simulated aerial target was simulated electronically using the corvette’s information system.
The training was carried out in accordance with the combat training plan of the Pacific Fleet ships.
