It is clear why: after all, a positive image of a company works like a “magnet”. For almost any “personnel unit” not only the salary is important, but also the atmosphere within the company. However, there are companies whose managers understood this long before Russia, at all levels, began to talk about preserving and increasing “human capital.”
Thus, at the Uralasbest plant they not only offer employees interesting tasks, but also decisively support them at all stages of their career, both work and personal. The plant has always been and continues to be a socially oriented company. This is due to 26 points of the collective agreement: real, well-thought-out measures create a reliable “dome of protection” for employees.
Many elements of the plant’s personnel policy have been in place for decades. Caring for a person is understood here as a clear system of support for the employee at all stages of his career, and even after his retirement.
– It is impossible to do without constant professional training, but the growth of any employee is impossible if it is overcome by problems in the personal sphere. That is why the company supports labor dynasties, motherhood and childhood in every possible way with the help of benefits, subsidies and compensations,” noted Yuri Kozlov, general director of the plant.
No expense is spared: in 2023, 530 million rubles were spent on social guarantees for staff. A “dowry” is paid to newlyweds upon concluding their first marriage. 3.3 million were allocated to support 54 parents in the birth of their children. About 9 million rubles helped 129 large families prepare their children for school. In addition to additional benefits for mothers on maternity leave for one and a half to three years, partial reimbursement of expenses for daycare centers and health camps. “When the children are settled and the parents have a positive attitude towards work,” they say at the factory.
Labor dynasties are a source of particular pride and concern. The professions of “mountain flax” miners and enrichers are often “passed down by inheritance.”
Three years ago, the company decided to celebrate the “contribution of generations.” In 2021, for the first time, 10 families received the title of “Uralabesta Labor Dynasty”, endorsing the certificate with a commemorative badge and an award. A year later, another 14 dynasties, 97 people, and in 2023, 12 family groups. with a total experience of… 1758 years they received the honorary title.
By the way, continuous service at the plant is also encouraged. In 2023, the amount of such special payments amounted to 137 million rubles. And those who have worked in chrysotile production for half a century are awarded a corporate silver medal. Interestingly, among the 20 awardees was also the general director of the plant, Yuri Kozlov, who began his career 54 years ago as an excavator operator in a quarry.
Special attention is paid to veterans who are supported with payments and free vouchers to the corporate preventive sanatorium “Mountain Len”. Last year, 285 non-working retirees recovered their health within its walls and a “preventive home clinic” was organized for people with reduced mobility. The plant also honors “long-livered” families: in 2023, 37 “golden” and 12 “platinum” weddings were celebrated. Respect and care for the older generation is one of the strong motivators for the younger ones.
There are around a thousand employees under the age of 35 at the plant and the company does not spare time or money on them. Young workers receive substantial subsidies, and especially active workers are rewarded with payments. As for the vocational training system, it is closely related to the technical schools and specialized universities of the Urals and is striking in its scale: over the past year, more than five thousand people received all types of vocational training. This is a real contribution to the staff treasury.
