On September 18, 2024, the exhibition “Third Ear” will open at the AZ/ART Center for Contemporary Art. Curator and art critic Alexander Dashevsky will present a project on how music penetrates the life of modern man and how immaterial sound takes on material forms.
At AZ/ART you can see works by contemporary Soviet artists and nonconformists from the collection of the AZ Museum and from private collections: Zhenya Sharvina, Andrei Rudiev, Igor Makarevich, Vladimir Nemukhin and others.
The exhibition will occupy the entire space of the centre, starting with the hall and two exhibition rooms and ending with the shop, where several video works by Boris Kazakov will be located. The architecture of the exhibition was entrusted to the architectural studio. [MISH]founded by Misha Maslov.
Let us remind you that in June in Moscow, in a historic 17th century building on Maroseyka, a new cultural institution was opened – the AZ/ART contemporary art centre. The guests were welcomed by the founder Natalia Opaleva together with a team of curators – Anton Karetnikov and Sergei Terentyev.
