“The dam filling work has begun. 226 people, 64 teams, have participated in the work,” reports the press service of the regional government.
The report also indicates that the path leading to the hydraulic protection structure has been filled in. Restoration activities are scheduled to end on or about August 26.
Recall that on the morning of August 19, near the rural settlement of Kholodnoye, as a result of a dam burst, the railway was washed out at the 1102 kilometer of the Kholodnaya – Nizhneangarsk section of the East Siberian Railway. Due to what happened in the region, a state of emergency was introduced, traffic on the site was closed and trains were allowed to pass.
