On August 1, the independent distributor Mainstream will release Tim Sutton’s film “Taurus” in Russia. The main role in the film about the dark side of fame was played by Colson Baker (Machine Gun Kelly). The world premiere of the film took place at the Berlin Film Festival.
The main character, Cole, spends his days and nights in an endless search for inspiration: he wants to record the ultimate, greatest song. Meanwhile, life goes awry: pesky paparazzi are obsessed with his recent separation from his wife, label management is unhappy with the lack of new songs, the dealer and his ex push him into the void.
“I’ve always been close to my dark side and Taurus was an opportunity to be myself, to show what’s really going on in my head. In a movie, I’d be more interested in seeing a person for whom self-destruction is second nature than an actor pretending to be one. There’s nothing more annoying than watching an actor play a rock star,” Colson shared.
