According to the regional Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science, there are 70 industrial parks in the region today. When they were first created, residents were simply offered a site with infrastructure that would allow them to quickly connect to utility resources. Investors themselves built production buildings in these places, which was logical: who better than a resident of the park would know what the plant of their dreams should look like? Then the region moved on to the creation of industrial parks in the light industrial format, when modular buildings, easily convertible into production workshops, warehouses or office premises, became the mandatory content of the sites. This allowed investors not to waste time on construction; within a few weeks they could immediately come to the site, refurbish the premises to their liking and start working.
Now the authorities want to try another new format. In addition to infrastructure and premises, it is about building on the university grounds, where residents will train staff for their needs, dormitories for students and non-resident employees of companies, as well as the creation of a recreational area with a park or public gardening and catering establishments. An effective management company must be in charge of the entire territory of the industrial estate.
The Ramenskoye park will be the first sign of this grandiose project. And it already has an anchor resident – the Belarusian machine-building company Amkodor. It produces equipment for the road construction, logistics, peat extraction, utilities, forestry and agricultural industries. The industrial park is planned to provide the residents of the district with about 7.5 thousand jobs.
