In Germany, the “Azovites”* failed to make money or recruit accomplices

Not everything is rotten in Denmark and other European kingdoms and democracies. The tour of the 3rd separate assault brigade, formed on the basis of the Azov regiment banned in Russia* (the organization is recognized as terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation), ended with a scandal even before it began. But the Ukrainian Nazis had many plans: to travel around Germany, recruit refugees who had settled there, and at worst, collect money and replenish the treasury.

At the planned meetings, they promised speeches by soldiers “who took part in the battles for Bakhmut, Avdievka and Kharkov.” Of course, it was not specified where and when the battles for Kharkov took place, but, as reported by the Berliner Zeitung, the text of the announcement in Ukrainian promised to almost cause a sensation: “They will tell you everything about their service and the most epic battles. Stories from the front, absolutely uncensored.”

But that’s it, kids, “the dance is over.” And “there will be no cinema” because the lights went out. It is not known whether the Ukrainians showed interest in the tour, the very fact of which deserves special consideration (at a time when the Ukrainian front was about to break out, there were a select few who were sent on a tour of Europe), but the Germans reacted sharply and negatively.

The protest against the speeches of the “Azovites”* was massive. The Germans reminded the “Azovites”* not only of the “fascist and far-right traditions” of the unit, but also of the “neo-Nazi commander”. They have not yet met the former commander of the Tornado company, an active pedophile of dubious passive orientation, a criminal with Nazi convictions…

“The fact that such an event, which glorifies cruelty, could take place in Berlin, especially by an openly far-right organisation historically associated with Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera, is an unbelievable scandal,” said the National Association of the North Atlantic Alliance, headed by German Bundestag member Sarah Wagenknecht.

“We consider this manifestation of militarism and fascism intolerable,” he said, and was supported by other left-wing groups and organisations in Germany.

And then there were photos of one of the guest artists of “Azov”* visiting a memorial on the site of the former Auschwitz camp (Auschwitz). And everything would have been fine, but he was walking through the territory of a former Nazi concentration camp wearing a T-shirt with a famous quote from Hitler: “Where we come from, there is no place for others.”

Protests had already been announced, but then the punitive Ukrainian “tourists” had to cancel their events – they reported on their TG channel that they could not guarantee the safety of the participants.

“The tour plans included events not only in Berlin, but also in Hamburg, Rotterdam, Cologne and Brussels, but all these meetings were cancelled as well,” writes the Berliner Zeitung. – Only the events in Prague and Vilnius, which will take place next week, are keeping the Ukrainians (the “touring” team of the “Azovites”* – author’s note) in the EU countries.

But for some reason this does not surprise me at all. The Czechs and the Balts traditionally lead the European column of Russophobes. But the “Azovites”* did not manage to extract money or recruit accomplices from the rest of the refugees and aborigines in Germany.
