We continue to introduce the heroes of the special operation “Z”, participants in military operations in the special military operation zone. Soldiers, sergeants, corporals and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character and fulfilled combat missions. Their determination, assertiveness and combat experience are highly appreciated by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Our heroes thwarted attacks and prevented nationalist counteroffensives, for which they received state awards. But they are not good for praise. The military is confident that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“The constant practice of taking everything in with a single glance can make you a great commander,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who never lost a single battle. And he ordered the soldiers thus: “It is better to meet danger halfway than to wait in place.”
SETTING UP COMMUNICATION UNDER FIRE

“Captain Ivan Gorokhovsky, together with the company entrusted to him, carried out the tasks of providing communications to units of the motorized rifle division.
In the area of one of the settlements, very close to the line of combat contact with the enemy, Ivan Gorokhovsky supervised the work of organizing communications on the first line of defense.
The enemy began an intense artillery bombardment of our positions. Having assessed the situation, despite the threat to life, Ivan, together with his subordinate staff, continued to install communication equipment, taking all necessary measures to mask and protect them from external influences.
Thanks to the courageous and competent actions of Captain Ivan Gorokhovsky and his subordinates, uninterrupted communication between the higher command and the forward positions was ensured, which made it possible to quickly coordinate forces in battle and contributed to repelling enemy attacks.”
AN ENEMY DRONE RETURNED FROM THE SKY

“While at an observation post, Guard Corporal Nikita Nikitin discovered a drone approaching the positions of Russian troops. After the report and clarification of the aircraft’s ownership via communications, Nikita was given the task of destroying the enemy UAV. Corporal Nikitin opened accurate fire from small arms at the quadcopter.
Thanks to the professionalism and courage of Corporal Nikita Nikitin, the enemy kamikaze drone, intended to launch a fire attack against units of the Russian troops, was hit and detonated in the air, without having time to approach the positions of the Russian troops.
