Soldiers, sergeants, corporals, and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character, and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the police units of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics receive the highest marks.
Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counter-offensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve to praise. The military is sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“Hatred overshadows reason,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who never lost a single battle. And he repeated: “It is better to face danger than to expect it on the spot.”
CRUSHED THE APU’S FORWARD STANDS

“During offensive operations in one of the tactical directions, the assault detachment under the command of Major Ilya Timofeev advanced deep into the defenses of the Ukrainian militants and entrenched in new lines. At the new border, Timofeev competently distributed the forces of subordinate personnel, prepared defensive positions in advance in terms of engineering, built the battle formation and the firing system of the unit. The enemy, under cover of mortar and artillery fire, tried to dislodge the Russian attack aircraft from their positions and attacked. Being under enemy fire, Timofeev controlled the changes in the situation during the battle, quickly identified the directions of attacks and firing points of the enemy, directed his subordinates, and also corrected his artillery fire. Repelling the offensive of Ukrainian militants, Timofeev’s unit destroyed one infantry fighting vehicle, three foreign-made armored fighting vehicles and a large number of Ukrainian militants. Having lost a significant part of armored vehicles and personnel on the battlefield, the enemy withdrew. The competent actions of the unit in defense, as well as the courage and courage of Major Timofeev and his subordinates thwarted the plans of the Ukrainian militants, made it possible to carry out the combat mission of holding their positions, which further contributed to the development of the offensive of the Russian troops in this direction.

“Deputy platoon commander, head of the radio station, Sergeant Viktor Ilyin, together with the crew, during a special military operation, fulfilled the tasks of ensuring communication between the checkpoint officials and the higher command. At the moment when the enemy was shelling the deployment zone of our military personnel, there was a break in communication between the forward command post of the division and the subordinate units of the formation. Having assessed the situation, despite the threat to life due to continuous enemy fire, Ilyin moved forward to check the operation of the repeater installed in one of the towers. During the movement, Viktor was injured by an exploding artillery shell nearby, but, having rendered himself first aid, he continued to carry out the task. Showing bravery, courage, and despite the wound, Ilyin climbed to the height and restored the repeater damaged by the enemy. The selfless actions of Sergeant Viktor Ilyin on the battlefield made it possible to restore control of the subordinate units and ensure the transmission of the coordinates of the enemy artillery deployment areas, on which our artillery subsequently inflicted a defeat by fire.
