The highest-rated Turkish series premieres in Russia. And this is not “Knock on my door”

Date: July 5, 2024 Time: 11:55:50

The Russian public’s love for Turkish series is so strong that Russian producers even decided (not very successfully) to adapt the hit “Knock on My Door”, moving the action of the project to Moscow.

So, the appearance of another Turkish TV hit on the federal channel is predictable. But what time is it this time? The channel “Russia 1” has chosen for its audience the flagship project “Bahar. Called Spring.” Do not rush to laugh at the title, this is the most watched series of the last television season (more than 30% of young viewers watched it while watching it). And from episode to episode, the share of TV viewers only grew.

Although, it would seem, what could be more banal than the plot of a melodrama? The mother of two grown children, Bahar (Demet Evgar), looks after the house, cooks for the whole family, irons, washes, takes care of her husband, the famous surgeon Timur Yavuzoglu (Mehmet Yilmaz Ak), tries to reconcile her mother and father-in-law, endures irritation and ridicule from loved ones and does not think about herself at all. In a word, everything is like with people.

But, as is often the case in high-quality melodramas, grief comes to Bahar’s house, and here the masks come off. The large family, in which the woman has invested her whole life, is in no hurry to help her. This is how Bahar begins her transformation (not according to Blinovskaya, no): from a helpful housewife she turns into a woman who knows what she wants.

This way everyone will know the other side of Bahar. Called Spring (yes, this is just a translation of the name Bahar).

The digital premiere of the series took place on the IVI platform, and the project will air on Russia 1 on July 8 at 3:00 p.m.
