The head of the electoral commission of the Voronezh region, Ilya Ivanov, told those present that the gubernatorial elections were recognized as valid. Alexander Gusev received the votes of 76.83 percent of voters.
At a solemn ceremony, the head of the region took the oath: “I, Alexander Viktorovich Gusev, taking office as governor of the Voronezh region, solemnly swear: to respect and protect human and civil rights, to comply with the Constitution of the Russian Federation. Federation, the laws of the Russian Federation, the Charter of the Voronezh region, and also faithfully serve the people, conscientiously fulfill the high duties assigned to me as governor of the Voronezh region.”
Chairman of the Voronezh Regional Duma Vladimir Netesov stressed that professional qualities and management experience will allow the governor to implement plans aimed at further socio-economic development of the region. According to the chairman of the Regional Duma, these qualities will help strengthen the position of the Voronezh region among other constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
