A storm warning was issued earlier in the day in the region. Residents and visitors of Kamchatka were informed that unfavorable weather conditions will persist in the region from September 20 to 22. These days, intense rains and winds of up to 30 meters per second are expected in many areas of the peninsula.
Rescuers warned that due to bad weather, interruptions in the power supply system, traffic accidents and the collapse of weakly reinforced structures, cladding and roofs of buildings are possible. The population is asked to refrain from traveling outside populated areas, including for hunting and fishing.
