The Mayak Film Festival has announced its screening programme

The Mayak Festival of Contemporary Russian Cinema has announced its programme of performances. This year it includes both competitive and non-competitive sections. The main section features films “Agnia” by Pavel Stratulat, “The White Steamer” by Inga Shepeleva, “Eternal Winter” by Nikolai Larionov, “Jackpot” by Alexander Hunt, “Film No. 8” by Ilya Khotinenko, “Summer Will End” by Vladimir Munkuev and Maxim Arbugaev, “On this land” by Renata Djalo, “Dad Died on Saturday” by Zak Abdrakhmanov and “Ashes and Dolomite” by Toma Selivanova.

Out of competition, Sean Baker’s “Anora” will be screened with Mikey Madison, Mark Eidelstein and Yura Borisov (it will be the opening film). Viewers will also be able to see Bakur Bakuradze’s “Snow in My Garden” with Levan Gogoladze and Bakur Bakuradze.

The best short film will be chosen from among the films “6.21” by Sergei Ramz, “Return” by Sveta Vladimirova, “Hymn to the Plague” by the Ataka51 collective, “Shred” by Liana Sukiasyan, “Salvation” by Nikita Dobrynin, “The Ridge” by Kristina Panova and “Ether” by Nikolai Sukhodolov.
