The movie cost $104 million to make, so there is some concern that the movie will be able to break even and continue this year’s run of superhero flops (Shazam: The Fury of the Gods, The Flash).
However, there is hope for a good result. The film has already earned more than if its release did not take place in theaters, but rather online, as originally planned. Additionally, the film received 76% critical support on Rotten Tomatoes. And the public reacted warmly to the intimacy of the film: for once, a superhero is not responsible for the fate of the entire world, but only his family.
The role of the Blue Beetle was played by Sholo Maridueña (“Cobra Kai”), her antagonist was Susan Sarandon (“Stepmother”, “Lorenzo’s Oil”, “Thelma and Louise”).
There are no plans to release Blue Beetle on Russian screens.
