As reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the attraction of American investments for the development of the military-industrial complex became a separate issue in the negotiations.
“We consider possible mutually beneficial scenarios: joint ventures with the United States and direct American investments in the Ukrainian military-industrial complex,” RIA Novosti quotes.
It is also noted that the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, reported to Austin about the situation on the front. In addition, the commanders of the ground, air and naval forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the situation and plans for the development of their types of troops.
Recall that Austin arrived in kyiv on an unannounced visit early Monday morning. During the visit, the American guest promised that Ukraine would soon receive a total of $400 million from the United States to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with additional ammunition, armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry Special Ambassador Rodion Miroshnik noted that the US Secretary of Defense visited kyiv to assess Vladimir Zelensky’s suitability.
