The Russian Defence Ministry is demonstrating the combat work of the crews of the T-80BVM and T-90 Proryv tanks of the Vostok group of troops in the direction south of Donetsk. The tankers are already using direct fire to destroy the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the approaches to Ugledar.

“Transbaikalian tank crews have been working on the approaches to Ugledar for a long time. Now tankers are destroying enemy fortifications near the town,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The department notes that the T80 BVM tank was designed to operate in difficult conditions, under intense enemy fire. This vehicle was launched a year ago and modified taking into account the experience of the Northern Military District: durable armor and protective screens allow it to work in the direct line of sight of the enemy.

“A great, powerful engine, it starts up normally and does not overheat. We provide cover against direct fire. They came out and fired at the defensive position. The forest area was cleared from top to bottom and that’s it, we are quietly retreating,” said the driver-mechanic of the tank with the call sign “Perun.”

The tank feels great in complete darkness. The crew makes most trips to the contact line at night. Through the sight, the gunner sees any movement in enemy positions.

“The night sight usually works very well, you arrive, you can see everything, you figure it out,” said the operator-gunner with the call sign “Petrukha.”

The commander of the tank with the call sign “Falcon”, in turn, noted that the Ukrainian oporniks are being finalized from different positions so that nothing interferes with the active advance of the Russian troops.
