Recall that on June 17, the private seaplane “Orion-11” after taking off from Lake Imandra near the village of Tik-Guba fell into the water and sank to a depth of five meters. Rescuers brought the pilot’s body to the surface.
As TASS reported, citing the transport prosecutor’s office, the deceased was an unemployed resident of Apatity. He bought a seaplane in Arkhangelsk, but he did not have a pilot’s license.
Meanwhile, the prosecution assured that air traffic authorities were not notified of the seaplane flight. Now the department continues to verify the implementation of aviation safety legislation. He also supervises the investigation of a criminal case related to violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport, which resulted in the death of a person.
