The publication quotes an anonymous French judicial official, unrelated to the case, who says that the position of Telegram’s representatives “has caused disappointment in France due to their reluctance to cooperate with the authorities.”
The official was quoted as saying: “They have angered people by refusing to give answers on dirty files.”
Earlier, the Paris prosecutor’s office said that Durov is suspected of numerous cyber crimes as well as illegal transactions. So far, there are only reports of Durov’s interrogations. There is no talk of bringing charges against him, the publication writes.
Pavel Durov was arrested at Le Bourget airport on 24 August. French President Emmanuel Macron denies that the case is politically motivated and asks to wait for the judges’ decision.
