The public art program “Miras” will end with a day on street art

The public art program “Vistas” in Sakhalin will end with a lecture on street art “Vistas. Art and the City” and an open-air exhibition, which will include more than 40 murals by famous and emerging artists. The conference will take place on September 10 and 11. In the Central Park of Culture and Culture named after Yu. Gagarin, experts in public and street art, as well as project participants, will hold discussions and lectures on working with urban space and compare experiences of holding public art festivals in other cities.

As part of the public art program, created with the support of ANO “TsRGS Our City”, street artists from different cities of Russia worked in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk from May to September. The authors created murals about the history and nature of the island, its important historical landmarks and the stage of maritime development. The artists painted over 12,000 m² of space. The largest was the work of Alexander Gushchin with an area of ​​over 2,000 m².

The project was attended by Alexey Kislov, Anton Sputnik, the creative association “EffectGraff”, Rustam QBic, Alexander Demkin, Ilya Wince, Misha Vert, “ProDraw”, Scheme, Anastasia Nan, Danila Shozy, Andrey Kalugin, German Alkidny, Nikola Mihajlović, Pasha Orez, Timur Fork and others.
