The Russian Defense Ministry said it was a repeated attempt by the Kiev regime to attack a Russian Navy ship, which escorts civilian shipping in the southwestern part of the Black Sea, with a drone.
“The professional actions of the crew of the Russian ship quickly discovered and destroyed the Ukrainian ship,” Igor Konashenkov, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, said at a recent briefing.
The lieutenant general also reported on the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the past day: in the Donetsk direction in 12 attacks by the Kiev regime, the regime lost 295 soldiers, in the southern Donetsk region more than 210, in Zaporozhye more than 220, in Kupyansky more than 40, in Krasnolimansky up to 115, in Kherson up to 45 .
In addition to 925 members of the armed formations, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost in one day the ammunition depot of the Liman tactical-operational group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the ammunition depots of the 15th brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, two tanks, three armored vehicles, two American M777 artillery systems, a Polish Krab self-propelled gun, Bogdan self-propelled wheeled howitzers, and other Soviet-style weapons.
Our assault detachments in the direction of Kupyansk, advancing in the direction of the settlements of Novoselovskoye in the Luhansk People’s Republic and Timkovka in the Kharkov region, improved their tactical position.
At this time, the forces of operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops attacked the command post of the 15 brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine and the ammunition and fuel depots of the 60 mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Ogurtsovo, Kharkiv Region and Druzhkovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic. The artillery of our group defeated 96 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 118 districts.
Konashenkov also highlighted the combat work of the air defense units, which intercepted 12 rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 28 Ukrainian drones in one day.
