From August 24 to September 1, the “Seasons” festival of contemporary culture was held in Gelendzhik, Bodrum and Sochi with the information support of BURO. The programme included gala concerts by Russian ballet stars at St. Peter’s Castle, the Gelendzhik Arena and the Winter Theatre.
The gala concerts were attended by prima ballerinas and premieres of the Bolshoi and Mariinsky theatres: People’s Artist of Russia Ekaterina Krysanova, Eleonora Sevenard, Honored Artist of Russia Vladislav Lantratov, Honored Artist of Russia Ekaterina Kondaurova, Denis Rodkin, Igor Tsvirko and others.
In Gelendzhik, a film programme dedicated to ballet was presented in conjunction with the Documentary Film Centre and the Nonfiction.film online platform: screenings of documentaries “AVE Maya”, “Russian Seasons. Pablo Picasso”, “Grande. Season”, “Perm. Ballet. Opera”, as well as feature films and film versions of world-class performances. For young viewers, master classes were organised by Russian ballet stars Anastasia Stashkevich, Vyacheslav Lopatin and Vera Borisenkova.
In Sochi, a chamber evening with the participation of stars of the Bolshoi and Mariinsky theatres was also held in the federal arboretum park “Arboretum”. In 2021, the Seasons festival was held for the first time in Gelendzhik. Then, on the Black Sea coast, performances “Uncle Vanya” by Lev Dodin, “Morning and Evening” by Vladimir Varnava and “Transsib” by the Brusnikin Workshop were presented.
