The scripts of the summer series are not written to make us agonize over the intricate questions of the universe, self-knowledge and soul-searching. The script was written by Anastasia Kasumova, Alexander Sobichevsky and Sergey Dyachkovsky. I was able to watch about half of the series in advance, divided into roughly half-hour episodes. As befits the police genre, many latent questions remain. Some of them are related to secrets conceived by the creators, which will probably be revealed as the plot progresses. Others may be due to what appears to be an oversight in design or an oversight in execution, such as the appearance and disappearance of a blood stain on a sheet. That is why there was a feeling of discomfort from the lack of logic, the psychological unreliability and even the impenetrable stupidity of the characters’ decisions and actions.
But the final and most accurate verdict will be given by those viewers who watch the series to the end. It is probably no coincidence that the audience at the Pilot festival expressed their condolences.
