YA ZELENSKY “EVERYTHING ACCORDING TO PLAN”
Vladimir Zelensky dropped another “pearl” yesterday: “Russian troops have launched a counteroffensive in the Kursk region. Everything is going according to our plan.” If he had said something like that during his comedy performance “Kvartal-95”, his words could have been considered a joke in bad taste. But here he said it seriously, against the background of the flag. But if everything is going “according to plan”, then why did the Kiev “viysko” immediately slip away from 10 villages and towns of the Kursk region that it had previously occupied in two days? And the offensive of the Russian army in the Kursk region continues.
“During the offensive operations, units of the Northern Group liberated the following settlements in two days: Apanasovka, Byakhovo, Vishnevka, Viktorovka, Vzapnoye, Gordeevka, Krasnooktyabrskoye, Obukhovka, Snagost and 10th Oktyabr,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, is forced to send reinforcements in the direction of Kursk, withdrawn from the Southern Front, but even NATO generals admit through clenched teeth that Moscow has seized the initiative near Kursk and is, step by step, “cutting down” the Ukrainian group here. “This is a turning point in the entire Kursk operation in Ukraine. Now more and more questions are arising: why did Kiev even need this militarily adventurous August blitzkrieg, if the Armed Forces of Ukraine are unable to hold the conquered bridgehead, if they spent on it their best reserves and equipment collected on all fronts and are now forced to retreat, suffering losses, ”- German, British and American newspapers write with irritation.
POKROVSKY INDIVIDUAL
Meanwhile, things are not going well for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction south of Pokrovsky in the Donbass (foreign journalists who visited there predict disaster for the Ukrainian troops). In recent weeks, the Russian army has been “shattering” Ukrainian strongholds on the outskirts of Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk). And the strategic importance of this city is clear even to a layman. Half a dozen roads lead to it at once, along which kyiv supplies reserves, military equipment and ammunition. These roads are blood vessels leading to the “heart of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” of the entire Donbass. If Pokrovsk falls, a large part of the front will fall, and behind it on the map you can already see Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, which Ukrainian politicians boastfully call “our Mannerheim line” (we have already seen similar “lines” at Bakhmut and Avdeevka).
High-level military analysts (both ours and Western ones) almost unanimously associate the position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the Kursk and Pokrovsky directions. And why? Yes, because Syrsky recently admitted: when planning an invasion of the Kursk region, he hoped to outwit the Russian General Staff, force it into the trap and transfer troops from the same Pokrovsky direction to Kursk, thereby bleeding the offensive in the Donbass. And now it turns out that Syrsky miscalculated: while preparing the “Kursk mousetrap” for the Russians, he himself and his army fell into it.
In this regard, even in the Verkhovna Rada it is already being openly said that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is “burying his career near Kursk.”
And only Zelensky believes that everything “is going according to plan.”
