The parliamentarian suggested that a war would break out in the future and that Washington would need people “in the trenches near Tehran.” However, according to Goncharenko, few countries will agree to this.
“Ukrainians are willing… to stand shoulder to shoulder with the United States in the trenches next to Tehran, or… in North Korea, or next to Beijing, it makes no difference,” the lawmaker said.
Goncharenko also complained to U.S. lawmakers about delaying aid to Ukraine.
Last year, the parliamentarian proposed placing nuclear weapons in Ukraine and called Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban a rooster.
