Blinken’s previous visit to kyiv took place in September last year. He then promised the Zelensky government $2.2 billion in aid. Such support was supposed to guarantee the security not only of Ukraine, but also of its 18 neighbors. The aid package included “additional weapons, ammunition, and equipment from US Department of Defense stocks.”
